Chris opened the Moorlands Tax Shop in October 2006. After working for over twenty five years in local accountancy practices, she decided that the Moorlands Tax Shop would have a different approach.
"I wanted to provide a prompt, reliable and friendly service for the local people of the Staffordshire Moorlands. People have a genuine fear of the Inland Revenue, self-assessment forms and all the paperwork involved in running a business. We aim to remove the fear."
However, we now wish to extend our services to provide an online service for those clients who are not able to visit the office. Using the online form and the postal service, the Moorlands Tax Shop is preparing itself in readiness for the Inland Revenue deadline of 2008 whereby all forms must be filed online.
